Honoring service through reduced licensing barriers

We believe military families deserve careers without boundaries.

Supporting the families and service members who serve us. Florida's expedited licensing program helps veterans and military spouses continue their careers when duty calls for relocation to the Sunshine State.

Veteran

You must hold an active license you’ve practiced under within the last 3 years, with no disciplinary action. You must also provide proof of an honorable discharge within the last 6 months, or a letter from your commanding officer confirming an upcoming honorable discharge within the next 6 months.

If you don’t meet these requirements but received an honorable discharge more than 6 months ago, you may still qualify for a military fee waiver. This waives the initial application fee, the initial licensing fee, and the unlicensed-activity fee.

Military Spouse

You must hold an active license with no disciplinary action and provide active-duty orders stationed in Florida. Unlike the other pathways, your orders must specifically be in Florida.

Valor Spouse

You must be legally married to an active-duty member of the U.S. Armed Forces, hold an active license, and have actively practiced for the last 3 years with no disciplinary action.

“Disciplinary action” refers to any disciplinary action within the 5-year period prior to your application date.
