About Aspire Technologies

At Aspire we empower the American workforce ecosystem with cutting-edge technology that enables autonomy, transparency, and operational excellence. Whether we're supporting American workers in finding opportunities to further their careers, working with organizations looking to develop skilled talent, or helping licensed professionals to be recognized in new industries or locations — we are driven to help Americans find meaningful work.

About the role

Aspire builds the infrastructure that makes military license portability work across state lines. We help states turn legislation into operational systems — so veterans, military spouses, and servicemembers can use the professional licenses they've already earned without starting over.

As a Sales Executive, you'll lead Aspire's expansion into new state markets. This is a govtech sale: long relationships, complex procurement, and high-impact outcomes. You'll work directly with state agency leaders, legislators, and licensing boards to help them understand how Aspire solves the operational problem behind their portability mandates.

What you'll do
  • Pipeline Development Identify, qualify, and develop opportunities with state agencies and licensing boards. Build relationships with decision-makers across government, workforce development, and military affairs.
  • Full-Cycle Sales Own the sales process from initial outreach through contract execution. Navigate government procurement processes, RFPs, and multi-stakeholder decision-making.
  • Solution Positioning Translate Aspire's platform capabilities into clear value propositions for state leaders. Tailor messaging for different audiences — from IT directors to governors' offices.
  • RFP & Proposal Management Lead responses to RFPs and RFIs. Coordinate with product, engineering, and operations to develop compelling proposals that meet state requirements.
  • Strategic Partnerships Cultivate relationships with military-connected organizations, veterans' affairs offices, and workforce development agencies that influence state purchasing decisions.
  • Market Intelligence Track legislative developments, competitive landscape, and state-level portability mandates. Feed insights back to product and marketing to sharpen positioning.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with product, implementation, and customer success teams to ensure smooth handoffs and set realistic expectations during the sales process.

What we're looking for
Govtech Sales
Experience selling technology solutions to state or federal government agencies. You understand procurement cycles, budget timelines, and how government decisions get made.
Relationship Building
Ability to build trust with senior government stakeholders. You're comfortable in meetings with agency directors, board chairs, and elected officials.
Complex Deal Navigation
Experience managing long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders, compliance requirements, and procurement steps.
Communication
Strong written and verbal skills. You can make technical products understandable and compelling for non-technical audiences.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years in B2B sales, with at least 2 years selling to government agencies or public sector organizations
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in complex, consultative sales environments
  • Experience with government procurement processes, RFPs, and contract vehicles
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for conferences, state meetings, and industry events
  • Self-directed work style — you're comfortable operating autonomously in a small, remote team

Nice to have
  • Military service or direct experience with military family issues
  • Background in workforce development, licensing, or credentialing
  • Experience selling to state licensing boards or regulatory agencies
  • Existing relationships in state government or military-connected organizations
